1.Keep It In A Cool And Dark Place

If you have peanut butter on a regular basis then keeping it in a cool and dark place will just do the trick. This would help in maintaining its consistency and keep it perfectly smooth and spreadable. Limiting its exposure to sunlight can keep it fresh for at least a month.

Refrigerating works best if you're someone who doesn't eat this nutty spread that quickly. The oils present in homemade peanut butter can go rancid very quickly if left outside for a long time. So, it's best to transfer it to an air-tight container and keep it in the fridge to extend its shelf life.

Now, this may sound odd but freezing is another great way to store homemade peanut butter. It might make it hard to spread but it will definitely prevent flavour loss and slow down oil separation. Make sure to thaw the peanut butter completely in the refrigerator before use.

4.Stir It Thoroughly Before Each Use

Stirring your natural peanut butter well before each use can help incorporate its oils that might have separated during both refrigerating and freezing. Not doing so can lead to loss of moisture and make it dry and flavourless. PS: You can also store it upside down so that the oils distribute evenly all the way through.
