It’s a fact of life:  Hard rock and metal singers see their talents diminish over time.  Some more than others.  Fans who saw GUNS N’ ROSES at a festival in Norway earlier this month have been sharing video of AXL ROSE struggling during “Welcome to the Jungle”. Some people have even compared his voice to Herbert the Pervert from “Family Guy”. ((AUDIO))

A Rammstein concert this week in Coventry, England, was so loud that citizens over 10 miles away from the venue reported hearing it. Several shared noise complaints online.  North American fans will be able to test their hearing at a Rammstein gig in the U.S. or Canada soon. The German industrial metal band kicks off its previously postponed American dates in August.

Def Leppard are putting the glam back in glam metal. Just about a month after the release of their latest studio album Diamond Star Halos, the band has now launched a line of beauty products and scented candles. Not a joke.  Available through Rock and Roll Beauty, the line features cruelty-free and vegan products, ranging from eyeshadow palettes and sticks, blush and highlighter, lipsticks and eyeliners to nail decals, brush sets, blending sponges, cosmetic bags and scented candles. Most of the products come in flashy packaging, decked out in the band’s logo and album cover art.

During his Instagram Live chat with ALEC BALDWIN yesterday, WOODY ALLEN said he might retire from filmmaking after his next movie. ((AUDIO))   No, Woody and Alec didn’t talk about their respective scandals.  I guess they agreed to be a SAFE SPACE for each other.

Travis Barker was rushed to the hospital Tuesday afternoon with his wife Kourtney Kardashian by his side. The Blink-182 drummer was photographed lying on a stretcher while the Kourtney followed on foot. Travis and Kourtney first showed up at West Hills hospital Tuesday morning for a health issue Travis was experiencing. Apparently, the medical crew at West Hills felt Travis needed additional care, and was then taken by ambulance. It’s currently unclear what Travis’ condition is, or what medical emergency brought him to the hospital. Minutes after the news made headlines, Barker’s 16-year-old daughter, Alabama, posted on her Instagram Story, “Please send your prayers.”

With the Star Wars movies currently on a break and Jurassic World probably getting frozen for the foreseeable future, Hollywood needs more retro stuff to fall back on.  And enter – GHOSTBUSTERS.  Ghostbusters: Afterlife, or whatever we’re going to call the sequel series that spins out of it, seems like the perfect candidate.  Sony announced when the continued expansion of the Ghostbusters brand will happen, with the sequel—which we’re just going to call Afterlife 2—being set to come out on December 20, 2023. We heard earlier this month that the sequel would take the Spengler family back to New York, the place where Ghostbusters movies are supposed to happen, with the movie operating under the codename “Firehouse”.

The Sanderson Sisters are back in the first teaser trailer for Hocus Pocus 2. The sequel to the classic Halloween movie reunites Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy and takes place 29 years after the original. The teaser opens on a scene of three high school students who are discussing their plans for that night. Hocus Pocus 2 also stars Sam Richardson, Doug Jones, Hannah Waddingham, Froyan Gutierrez and Tony Hale, among others. The sequel hits Disney+ on Sept. 30.

A sequel to the 1980s sitcom Who’s the Boss is headed to streaming service. The project has original series stars Alyssa Milano and Tony Danza attached to reprise their roles.  The new take will focus on Milano’s Samantha Micelli, a single mother who lives in the same house where she grew up on the original series. Her retired dad, Tony (Danza), lives with her. There’s no word yet on whether Judith Light and Danny Pintauro will also reprise their roles; Katherine Helmond – Mona- , who also starred in the original, died in 2019.

The 80’s adventure Goonies is set for a revival as a series on Disney Plus. A producer on the project says: “When I was at Paramount, there were these young boys doing this movie about Raiders of the Lost Ark, a shot-by-shot remake. It got some press at the time, and the studio was very upset about it. I thought it was an amazing idea, and it always stood in my head of — how can you take an idea like that and turn it into a TV series? …The series is a story of a town and a family through the lens of Friday Night Lights and within that they tell a story of a shot-by-shot remake of Goonies. The series, tentatively titled Our Time, doesn’t have a production timeline at the moment.

HBO is beginning to hype up fans for the upcoming House Of The Dragon series, and their first stop is an immersive fan experience at this year’s Comic Con in San Diego. Fans will get early access to the app, House Of Dragons: DracARys, emphasis on the “AR” because it’s an AR game. There, they will step into the world of dragons and even get to raise their own that they virtually can keep in their pocket, similar to every child carrying around a Tamagotchi in 1999.  Fans will be able to attend an egg-hatching ceremony, then become their own mother of dragons while caring for their little scaley guys so they can grow up and breathe fire. The app will have a global rollout on July 25th. House Of The Dragon premieres August 21st on HBO.

Tommy Lee broke four ribs carrying luggage down uneven stairs at a rental house in Nashville. The Motley Crüe drummer has been unable to play full sets on the band’s stadium tour after suffering the nasty fall, and his wife has now revealed how her rocker spouse injured himself. She claims: “We were staying at an old rental house in Nashville. It was a cool, old quirky house. But the stairs outside were made out of stones, and they were really uneven. Tommy was trying to carry all of our luggage for us. And he fell down these crazy stairs and broke — broke — four ribs. Not fractured, not bruised — broke.” When ‘The Stadium Tour’ – Def Leppard, Motley, Poison and Joan Jett – came to Washington, D.C. last week, Tommy threw a full tray of ribs into the crowd to make light of breaking his actual ribs. He said: “Let’s f****** party, goddammit. Ribs? How about some f****** ribs?”

Australian Nick Kyrgios opened his 2022 Wimbledon account by defeating Paul Jubb 3-6, 6-1, 7-5, 6-7 (3-7), 7-5 in Tuesday’s first-round match, but Kyrgios’ name was in headlines after that victory for a much different reason.

As ESPN’s Simon Cambers mentioned, Kyrgios spit in the direction of a fan he said heckled him throughout the match after the win.

“Today, as soon as I won the match, I turned to him … I’ve been dealing with hate and negativity for a long time, so I don’t feel like I owed that person anything,” the 27-year-old explained. “He literally came to the match to literally just, like, not even support anyone really. It was more just to stir up and disrespect. That’s fine. But if I give it back to you, then that’s just how it is.”

Kyrgios told reporters after his victory that he requested for the fan to be booted from the venue.

Additionally, Kyrgios seemed to reference the actions of at least one person during his match when he was heard saying: “I don’t start clapping when they’re scanning s— at a supermarket, do I?”

Researchers have diagnosed chronic traumatic encephalopathy in a Major League Soccer player for the first time, saying Tuesday that former Sporting Kansas City defender Scott Vermillion suffered from the degenerative brain disease. The Boston University CTE Center said Vermillion, who died of an accidental drug overdose in December 2020 at the age of 44, had CTE. Although it is not possible to connect any individual case to a cause, the disease has been linked to repeated blows to the head. CTE has been found in more than 100 former NFL players as well as semi-pro and high school soccer players. Vermillion is the first from MLS. Vermillion began playing soccer at the age of 5 and continued for 22 years, culminating in four MLS seasons for D.C. United, the Colorado Rapids and Sporting KC. He also played for the United States at the 1993 Under-17 World Championship and made some appearances for the Under-20 team in 1996. After retiring in 2001 with an ankle injury, his family said, he became depressed and had problems with impulse control and aggression.

Eventually, he suffered from memory loss and developed a substance abuse problem. All have been associated with CTE, which has been linked to concussions or subconcussive blows in athletes, combat veterans and others who sustain repeated head trauma.
